Five minutes and twenty minutes feel about the same from a sauna bench, and there is no clock in the room to settle it.

A sand timer is the old answer to that. A glass of sand on the sauna wall, nothing to charge and nothing to check.

The run is fifteen minutes. The scale beside the glass is marked twice, once upright and once inverted, so it reads correctly whichever way the timer is left hanging after a turn. Without the doubling you would be reading the numbers upside down half the time.

It hangs on two short arms and pivots between them, so you turn it where it hangs instead of lifting it down with wet hands. The body is 11.2 inches tall and 2 inches wide, so it takes almost no wall in a small sauna.

Hang it in view of the bench and turn it when you sit down.

Fifteen minute hourglass, white sand

Scale marked 0, 5, 10 and 15 minutes, doubled so it reads either way up

Pivots on two arms, turned without taking it off the wall

Solid wood body, wall mounted

11.2 x 2 x 1.2 in (28.5 x 5 x 3 cm)

0.55 lb (0.25 kg)

No batteries and no power

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0670/8035/6015/files/01-white-background-2048_944b0f1f-c617-4ad6-ade3-e9dd0cac63fe.png?v=1787081164
